Speaker Bio:
Ryan Byers, owner of Front Range Compliance Services, LLC, started his career with the trucking industry during his time with the Colorado State Patrol Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) Unit. During his time with the MCSAP Unit, Ryan became a certified Safety Investigator and national trainer for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s National Training Center. Ryan assisted the FMCSA in the development of training programs for North American Standard Inspection Procedures (NAS). Ryan became one of the FMCSA’s first Master Instructors and began training instructors in the NAS course procedures and Instructor Development. At the end of 2011, Ryan was noticing the profound effect CSA-2010 was having on motor carriers and decided to step away from the Patrol and start his company, Front Range Compliance, where he would assist motor carriers in all things DOT Compliance with the mission of, “Keeping You Off The Radar!” Ryan and his staff have assisted thousands of companies throughout the United States in operating with safer practices and maintaining a satisfactory level of compliance.

Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) Operation and Utilitzation
Ken Willand | Ford Pro

Limited to 20 registrants

As automotive technology becomes more sophisticated, scan tools must evolve as well. The FDRS is the next generation scan tool designed to interface with the multiple network, multiple control module vehicles of today and in the future. This hands-on class provides technicians with the skills and knowledge required for using this tool including:
• FDRS components, preferences, vehicle identification
• Multi-module self-testing and datalogger
• Active Commands
• Module programming

This class is recommended for all service technicians that must use this tool for late-model Ford vehicle diagnosis and service.

Trainer Bio:
Ken will tell you he is a third generation automotive Technician. His grandfather opened a garage in Washington state in 1937 and he says his “preschool” was holding a trouble light and fetching tools for his father at the garage (which is still a running business). His professional career started in high school selling auto parts for a parts store in his hometown. Ken worked as an auto Technician to pay his way through college, and he has continued in the automotive industry since the late ’80s. During his 30-plus years in the automotive service field, Ken worked at independent garages, dealerships, taught at a vocational college, managed a retail repair facility, worked as a Service Manager at a dealership and owned his own shop. Ken’s automotive expertise, along with his insights into aftermarket automotive service, adds to his presentation of Ford PRO Technical Training.
