Position Description: | The Broomfield Fleet Division consists of 14 staff members responsible for the service and maintenance of all 640+ vehicles and equipment including Police Department vehicles, Commercial Motor Vehicles, Construction Equipment, and more. Technicians ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, repaired, and safe so that staff using them can do their jobs as effectively as possible. This position will be scheduled Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Hours could change during summer months and could include on-call and emergency response as needed. We are looking for a full-time Fleet Technician II to join our team. Our ideal candidate is: - Positive - Service-oriented - Ethical - A Team Player - Adaptable - Willing & Wanting to learn - Supportive - Respectful & Professional What you can expect from the Fleet team: - Highly qualified individuals who share knowledge and expertise - Stays up to date with changing technology - Collaborative teamwork - Low stress, positive environment - Commitment to customer service - Culture that assumes positive intent Total Compensation Package: - Hiring Range: $31.26 - $39.54/hour (DOQ) - Free Recreation Center Pass (Gym & Pool) - 14 paid vacation days, 10 paid sick days, 12 paid holidays - Additional Leave & Overtime available - Stable year-round employment with most evenings and weekends off and a commitment to work-life balance - Exceptional medical, dental, & vision insurance with wellness discounts on insurance premiums available - 40 hour/week set schedule (This position is required to work snow events and other emergency operations outside of normal working hours) - 6% employer retirement match - Paid CDL training Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED equivalent - 2 years of experience in automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair. - Experience with diesel powered vehicles and equipment preferred - Experience in welding preferred - Class B CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire - DFSCP - Diesel Emission inspector certification within 12 months of hire Additional Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for continued employment. - New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry, DMV check, and pre-employment physical and drug screen. -Must supply own set of hand tools and a roll-around type tool chest as specified by the Fleet Division |
